History of Your Horseshoe
Each horseshoe was previously used on a horse. They are carefully cleaned while keeping the unique character of each horse that wore them. No two shoes will ever be the same! Horseshoes have long been considered lucky. They were originally made of iron, a material which was believed to ward off evil spirits, and traditionally were held in place with seven nails, seven being the luckiest number.
It became common practice to hang a horseshoe outside of the home, barn or store to ward off evil and bring good luck. It is believed that hanging a horseshoe with the ends pointing upward that the shoe would attract and hold good luck.
